Arc Heavy Jedi Fighter by JediArtisan Arc Heavy Jedi Fighter by JediArtisan
The AN-R6 "Arc" fighter is a new Model of heavy fighter for the Jedi fleet. Set to eventually replace the current heavy fighter, this ship is still in the R&D faze. Its final design should be only slightly slower than the current heavy fighter but with slightly increased maneuverability. With its four heavy turbo-lasers and four torpedo launchers, firing standard Jedi and concussion torpedoes, this ship will pack quite a punch. While the wings may look delicate they are heavy reinforced and actually encased in a special material that absorbs energy and redirects it either to the engines or weapons; so it is effectively able to absorb enemy fire and utilize it. Note: energy absorbing casing is only on the wings. The energy built up from attacks has to either be used immediately or vented or else the fighter will overload and possibly even explode. The release can actually be used as a weapon at close range.

Ohhh...now this design I like alot! I'd use it just for the energy absorption wings...that would be awesome!

Yeah though it still does have some weakness such as how slow it is and how the fuselage lack the energy absorbing material

Yeah those are setbacks, but if you can keep the incoming laser fire directed towards the wings, and use it immediately, you should be okay.

you'd have to be careful since the wings can overload if they absorb too much energy too fast

That would be my biggest concern, but then I'd just lob a missile or two at the sith fighters and get them to back off.
